Want more rentals or swaps for your holiday home?
Ask your guests for feedback or look at your holiday home through their eyes. Some friends have just returned from a holiday rental and shared their thoughts with me.
Does your holiday home have a dishwasher? Unfortunately, the one they rented didn’t. And with 3 hungry children with the appetites of small horses, poor Mum seemed to spend much of her holiday tied to the sink. She hadn’t thought to pack a pair of Marigolds in her holiday suitcase either.
Does your holiday home include free wifi? This one did and was a real life saver on the odd rainy afternoons. It meant the kids could keep up with their friends on Facebook - and they taught Dad how to use it too. Shame Mum didn’t get the chance to browse on-line for her Marigolds…..
Does your holiday home accept well-behaved pets? Many aren’t pet friendly so it really restricted where they could stay. And with the kids bawling at the thought of leaving their precious pooch behind, finding a home that would allow her to stay too was a real priority. Bear in mind that it won’t always be dogs who come to stay; I’ve seriously heard of people taking their cockatoo or pet rabbits away with them so it might pay to be specific!
If you do offer facilities like these to guests, then be sure to say so in your profile. It could just give you the edge when people are exploring where to stay.
